17:00 in Melbourne for the #24hourproject by Misho Baranovic
It’s been a big weekend for a number of street photographers around the world who have just finished shooting for the #24HourProject – an annual event to document the global human condition in a single day.
Created by Renzo Grande @aliveinnyc and Sam Smotherman @whittiersam, this year’s #24HourProject occured on Saturday 22 March, with preliminary numbers showing an incredible 900 street photographers participating in the event from over 312 cities, 72 countries and 6 continents.
It was my second year photographing for the #24HourProject. Like last year, I failed to complete the challenge of uploading one photo an hour for 24 hours to my Instagram feed. Last year I only managed 8 hours after the freezing rain and snow in Derby dashed my ambitions.

This year I had family and friend commitments in the way, but I managed to knock off 10 of the 24 hours.
Hats off the Renzo and Sam for this incredible event, it is a truly participatory photography project that harnesses connected photography for good not evil.
Here’s a few more shots of my journey around Melbourne. All photos are taken with the latest version of ProCamera 7.
